YWCA Auckland are holding their inaugural spoken word competition and it’s set to be a night of hot poetry, sizzling truths and even more fiery performances. And better yet, we’ll even feed you – catering and good vibes provided. The theme of the night is “gender issues and feminism” so get ready for some dope rhyme and good, feminist-ing times.
Interested in performing? You should be! It’s open entry for those between 14 – 25, and there’s $500 up for grabs for first place, $200 for runner up! FYI if you’re submitting, you don’t have to identify as female, or a feminist, to submit as long as your piece is on topic!
