SKIP is a nationwide network of individuals, community groups, government agencies, workplaces and national NGOs.
Our purpose is to build protective factors in communities to support parents so that they can bring up their children to be happy and resilient. This work includes building social connections, reducing isolation, creating supportive environments and promoting positive parenting.
We focus on working with communities to support parents who don’t engage with conventional support and who often face multiple challenges. To do this we have developed approaches that help us and our partners to understand more about the lives of parents and more about the communities they live in. The information on this site has been developed to support this approach.
