Women on Boards New Zealand was incorporated as a business unit of Governance New Zealand in mid-2015.

This association is viewed as an exciting and obvious fit for both organisations, which can only serve to enhance the promotion and advancement in supporting gender diversity in the governance space and on both sides of the Board table.

We aim to bring through the next generation of board ready women by providing tools and empowerment through education to assist them to achieve their governance goals.

In support of growing the presence of women on the boards of New Zealand, and to bring through the next generation of board-ready women Governance New Zealand is committed to:

• Promoting the Women on Boards brand via the Governance New Zealand website and marketing collateral
• Providing professional support related to topical gender diversity issues through events held nationally
• Hosting an annual Women on Boards Conference and Women in Governance Awards event
